Court House

Copenhagen · 2026 · Residential

Pale limestone courtyard house with deep window openings and an olive tree

Area: 420 m²
Discipline: Residential

Two stone volumes enclose a planted courtyard. Living rooms face the garden; the street-facing walls protect the rooms behind them.

The brief

Create a family home that feels open to the garden without exposing everyday life to the street. Shared rooms needed to work together, while bedrooms and quiet corners required a more sheltered setting.

The response

Two stone volumes frame a central courtyard. Living spaces open towards the tree at its centre, and deep window reveals temper the daylight. A covered passage connects the volumes, making the garden part of the route through the house in every season.
